Just about everything geared to tourists is way over priced even by tourist destination pricing standards. Be careful with recommendations on where to eat and stay since those tend to be the most egregious. There are a lot of choices for transportation most of which are reasonable, try and stay away from the taxis they will severely over charge to the point of a one-way ride will cost half a days rental car price to go 2 miles. The beaches are nothing special with some beaches being quite rocky. If you're not into the night club scene there isn't much else to do on this island that you can't do someplace else for less and you can safely skip stopping here.

One of the nicest of the Greek Islands but very busy in season. The port is beautiful, full of great restaurants, clothing stores and otyher retail shops. Elia Beach, about 30 minutes by taxi from the port, is a wonderful place to swim and sun.
