The best dining experience I’ve ever had, by far. Each dish is presented with so much forethought, explaining each ingredient and the story behind why it’s been included in their menu and its original Portuguese origins. All the staff were so friendly and had a smile at every interaction. We got the shared menu for two, which included 6 courses and 3 desserts. 2 of the courses and a dessert were added as surprises too. Each dish was small but it was plenty of food because of the variety. Be aware that because of the nature of the presentation, the meal takes a long time (we were there over 3 hours). We enjoyed the taste of all the dishes, even the ones with unconventional ingredients (to an American). Highly recommend during a visit to Porto.

Wow! What a magical, wonderful dining experience. It wasn’t just a dinner, it was a true experience! The restaurant’s atmosphere is gorgeous and so special. I love how the restaurant blends old and new/ traditional and contemporary. The staff and service could not be more perfect - everyone is so welcoming, kind, and excited to share the restaurant’s dishes with you. It’s rare when you can sense that staff have a genuine enthusiasm for the food being served. Every course/dish came with a story. I also loved how various members of the kitchen, including the chef, came out to speak with you - such a unique touch! And the food was absolutely wonderful! Get this restaurant its Michelin star ASAP! I particularly loved the first three “surprises” to come out of the kitchen and the rabbit. The bread service was also exceptional. Every dish was a work of art. I’ll be thinking about this meal and the experience I had at O Paparico for some time to come! These type of experiences are hard to come by!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at O Paparico and it was a lovely experience. The food was not only delicious, but also very creative. The service was outstanding - they really made our dinner feel like a celebration. I would highly recommend making a reservation if you are in Porto!
